Not my image as far as I can tell it might be made by @clayohanon on Twitter. Been hard to track down, but I wanted it here as part of the story and influence.
A friend of mine sent me a piece of corporate art of Saturn devouring his son. It immediately inspired strangeness.
Saturn was the first Roman God that ruled over all earth. It was fated that he would be usurped by one of his sons. He would devour them at birth. In 1819 Goya painted a depiction of this. I've always thought Goya was as well known as many of the masters. But speaking with my wife I found she was unfamiliar with Goya's black series, this made me wonder how many of you learned about Goya in school?
There are obvious influences Goya has had on Attack on Titan if you look through his work. So I wonder when the internet looks at my art what will they see first?
