I've watched Alec Steele's blacksmithing videos for the past 4 or so years. I think the first thing I watched him make was a Damascus steel dagger. The videos reminded me of Casey Neistats vlogs but with a lot more fire and metal. Great jams, cinematic angles, and a charismatic host.
I've wanted to create one of Alec's works in CG for some time now and I gave myself the challenge over the Easter long weekend to do so.
This CG stiletto is a representation of the collaborative efforts of Alec and his peers Will Stelter, Jost Smith and Neels Van Den Berg.
Please go check out all their smithing and the cinematic work of Jamie Popple.
Thanks for the years of entertainment and inspiration.
This is the original video of the stiletto being made.
